Vidyut Jamwal, the action hero is back after a three-year hiatus to do what he’s best known for. Popularly known as ‘The New Age Action Hero of Bollywood’, Vidyut is a trained martial arts expert who has utilized all his skills to the maximum while executing high-octane action sequences on the silver screen. His upcoming action thriller ‘Commando 2: The Black Money Trial’ where he plays Captain Karanvir Singh Dogra, is all set to release in theaters and promises to be better than its prequel. Here are listed seven reasons why Vidyut Jamwal’s ‘Commando 2’ is going to be a cracker of a film at the box-office.

  1. Successful franchise

We all know that ‘Commando 2’ is the sequel to the much successful ‘Commando: A One Man Army’ which released in 2013. The action flick was a sleeper hit that year which saw some biggies like ‘Dhoom 3’, ‘Krrish 3’ and ‘Chennai Express’ also releasing. The prequel was directed by Dilip Ghosh and gave Vidyut his first qualified solo hit as a lead after making his Bollywood debut as an antagonist opposite John Abraham in ‘Force’.

  2. High Octane action sequences

The high octane action and fight sequences are the USP of this flick. Only an action guy like Vidyut can pull off such fight sequences with aplomb which has been designed by South African fight and stunt choreographer Franz Spilhaus. Franz who hails from Johannesburg, South Africa had also choreographed the fight sequences for the prequel and is known for his action sequences in films like ‘Chronicle’ (2012) and ‘Black Sails’ (2014).

  3. Laundering of Black money theme

Since demonetization came into the fray, black money has been the talk of the day. The film touches upon the trail of black money laundering which has been a major issue for India since a while. How the money is transferred through hawala and how the big fishes escape through the net has been highlighted in the film which will be interesting to watch.

  4. Deven Bhojani’s direction

Actor turned director Deven Bhojani is a known face on the small screen since appearing in ‘Malgudi Days’ and directing ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’. He made his Bollywood acting debut in Aamir Khan’s ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ in 1992 and since appeared in films like ‘Chalo America’, ‘Khichdi: The Movie’ and ‘Agneepath’. He’s a director to watch out for in this genre type.

  5. Impressive supporting star cast

Though Vidyut Jamwal holds center stage in this action flick but the presence of Adah Sharma and Esha Gupta is sure to add oomph to the proceedings. The return of Freddy Daruwala after playing the villain in Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’, will up the ante. The remaining cast which includes Thakur Anoop Singh, Shifali Shah, Satish Kaushik and Adil Hussain will make it an interesting watch.

  6. Exotic locations

Going by the trailer, cinematography by Chirantan Das has made sure the film looks stylish and slick. Though the film revolves in and around India and Malaysia, the scenic locales and exotic landscapes of Malaysia and Ladakh is bound to leave audiences mesmerized. The action and chase sequences shot at some of the tallest skyscrapers of Malaysia are sure to take your breath away.
