6 Films Rejected By Anupama P That Could Have Propelled Her To Stardom

Among the three actresses who stole the hearts of South Indian youngsters with Premam, Sai Pallavi proved herself to be a class apart but it was Anupama Parameshwaran who got the first big break in Telugu with A Aa in 2016. She also has a blockbuster with Shathamanam Bhavathi. But somewhere down the line, she has become one of the Also-ran actresses than a star she was destined to be.

Among the reasons is the films she missed. And some wrong choices of subjects. Some subjects genuinely doesn’t suit her or her policies. And sometimes might be date adjustment issues. Here is a run down of 6 films she missed and an analysis of how missing them affected her chance to reach stardom.

1. Nenu Local

On the surface, Nenu Local might be a run of the mill romantic comedy with a huge focus on the hero but it’d have delivered her a solid hit. And as it’s a Nani starrer, her performance would have been noticed. It’s not even a glamorous role. Keerthy Suresh benefitted from this film in terms of a box office hit.

2. Mahanubhavudu

The major conflict in Mahanubhavudu is between the protagonist and his love interest (read: heroine). Means, the heroine has a comparatively meaty role. As Anupama is highly talented actress, she’d have elevated the Sharwanand starrer to another level. Add to that, she already scored a blockbuster with Sharwa.

3. Rangasthalam

We cannot even estimate the way the Sukumar’s mega blockbuster Rangasthalam would have affected her career. One thing is certain, for whatever reason she lost the film, she lost the chance to join the big league. She would have pulled the role of Ramalakshmi as well as Samantha if not better in a different way.

4. Aravinda Samatha (Eesha Rebba role)

Not a role she would be proud of had she taken this one (she already played a second lead in a Trivikram film) but a big hit is missed. But in the hindsight, missing the film means missing a hit but it’d do no good to her further chances.

5. iSmart Shankar (Nabha Natesh role)

Whether Anupama Parameshwaran suits this role is highly debatable and if what people talk about her policies is true, we cannot say she did a wrong thing by avoiding the role. But we know how big a blockbuster iSmart Shankar turned out to be. It might not the the right role for her, but certainly had some weight in the film.

6. Arjun Suravaram

This is another instance where she missed a successful film. That would have helped her CV in a positive way.

By going through the list, at least 4 of these films would have highly benefitted her and gave her bigger stardom than she is enjoying right now.
