Watch 6 Bollywood Songs Which Were Shot In Just ‘One Take’

Songs have been an integral part of our films ever since sound was introduced. In good old days due to budget constraints, one camera would suffice to shoot an entire film leave alone a song. The hero and heroine would sing a whole three-minute song under a tree holding each other’s hands. Times changed when a song was shot with a single camera from different angles. As time passed the trend started to shoot a song at different locations with picturesque backgrounds to make it memorable. The 80’s and 90’s saw songs being shot at different locales (including foreign) and sets with about 50 to 60 cuts before a song got added to the final print. The idea of Bollywood songs shot in ‘one take’ was unheard of till director Shakti Samanta tried it out in ‘Aradhana’. Since then only a handful directors have tried it.
