Sunny Deol is all set to strike back with ‘Ghayal Once Again’, a sequel to his cult action film ‘Ghayal’ which was his comeback film of sorts in 1990. ‘Ghayal’ struck gold at the box-office and revived his acting career in a big way. Over the years, the action hero has had an array of blockbusters which helped him to reign supreme at the box-office but he also delivered some duds which went unnoticed especially in the beginning of 2000’s. We have come up with a list of ten such films which many would’ve missed or the actor himself would’ve forgotten.

  1. Saveray Wali Gaadi (1986)

Directed by ace Tamil director Bharathi Rajaa, the film never got a proper release which saw Sunny Deol playing a softy who tries to make it big after shifting base from his village to another town. With no action in it the film bombed badly.
  2. Intaqaam (1988)

Raj Kumar Kohli’s revenge drama which had Sunny Deol and Anil Kapoor pitted against each other didn’t really create any jitters at the box-office. The film wasn’t marketed well though it had the potential.
  3. Vishnu - Devaa (1991)

Director K. Pappu’s revenge drama where Sunny had Aditya Pancholi for company who are separated in childhood and come together in the end to avenge their father’s death. It had the same old stuff offered in a new platter.
  4. Shankra (1991)

Even Sunny would’ve regretted doing this film which was delayed in its release as ‘Ghayal’ was already declared a hit. The screenplay was beaten to death and the film refused to take off.
  5. Gunaah (1993)

Mahesh Bhatt’s long in the making revenge drama which saw the last time pairing of Sunny and Dimple on screen. Except for a couple of decent numbers by Rajesh Roshan, the film sank without a trace at the box-office.
  6. Veertaa (1993)

Another long in the making film which saw Sunny romancing Jaya Prada. The film found no takers as it had nothing new to offer and the pairing looked outdated.

  8. Himmat (1996)

A spy action thriller which again was long in the making and took a while to get a proper release. The film somehow did manage to get a decent initial and tanked at the box-office.
  9. Kasam (2001)

A multi-starrer which was launched in 1993 but took a good eight long years to reach the finishing line. It got released only at a few centres which had its share of continuity jerks in the narration.
  10. Kaafila (2007)

Unintentionally funny, the film had Sunny playing a transformer shifting a group of people across the border which lies between India and Afghanistan. The director made a mockery of the film.
  11. Khuda Kasam (2010)

This KC Bokadia directorial which underwent change in titles and took ages to release. Sunny surprisingly plays a Muslim who has Tabu for company. Finally, it was case of ‘too little too late’.
