Bollywood, where caste, creed or colour doesn’t matter has not been averse to white actors and actresses appearing on screen. Instances, where foreigners or whites got a chance to act in Bollywood films were either as foreign smugglers villains or films that dealt with the British era or co-dancers in the background at foreign locales. It’s been rare but Bollywood has seen some films where blonde girls or white actresses have appeared as female leads opposite male leads. Though most of them have been of foreign origin but Bollywood has accepted them with open arms. Most of them ended up being a one film wonder for obvious reasons. Let’s look at instances where blonde or gori’s appeared as the female lead opposite Bollywood actors.
(Note: The list doesn’t consist of blondes who played supporting roles, foreign origin non-blonde actresses like Katrina Kaif or Jacqueline Fernandez or brunettes like Amy Jackson, Barbara Mori or Rachel Shelley (Lagaan). We haven’t considered Salman Khan’s ‘Marigold’ which had American actress Ali Larter in it as it was a Hollywood flick.)
